META Mission Statement
META, or the Monster’s Ethical Treatment Association, is one of the world’s most prominent nonprofit monster protection organizations. META has taken on a simple yet ever-developing mission to protect the lives and rights of monsters throughout the world. Started as a small group of students, the association has developed into a large operation dedicated to ending the abuse and mistreatment of monsters everywhere. Founded on the ideals that everything living has the same right to live as a human, META has taken peaceful steps to raise awareness, rescue lost or hurt monsters, and stop the cruel treatment of monsters everywhere.
Our purpose has been carried out at secret facilities where monsters are cared for and given a place to live if they please. The first and foremost of our goals is that the monsters we deal with are as comfortable as possible, whether that means that we must find a place for them to live in complete isolation, or close to civilization where they feel the company of neighboring humans without any harm coming upon the monster or the humans. One example when we were forced to isolate monsters from humans was not to protect the humans but to protect the monsters. During the 2010 Gulf Oil Spill, while organizations such as PETA were caring for animals affected by the spill, META was hard at work saving monsters in the sea and on land alike, relocating monsters to a similar classified location away from any traces of humans. Another example of this goal being carried out was quite different, when the founders of META were inspired to found the association when they found a monster they called “Frankie” on the verge of death in northern Russia after killing several humans. Since that event, we have found him a home with monsters who are in a similar situation, and he has been able to raise his own family now that he is happily living on a META compound at a classified location. Relocating monsters has always been a major and crucial part of our mission, as it saves human and monster lives.
Another way that META cares for monsters is by nourishing and healing monsters, and by finding lost monsters. As stated before, we nourished monsters who had been hurt by oil in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. At hidden facilities under the ocean, we carefully brought in hurt monsters and safely removed oil from their systems, and then relocated them to safer regions where they would not be threatened. Operations such as this one have occurred across the globe after many human and natural disasters, along with cases of physical and psychological monster abuse that occur all over the world regularly, a crime that META is constantly fighting to stop. One of our largest ongoing projects is the location and rescue of lost monsters who are starving and disoriented in a habitat that is unnatural for them to be in. We are persistently trying to locate monsters who have been lost far from their homes. Finding lost monsters, and nourishing and healing hurt monsters who could not survive in the wild is the primary focus of META, and we will never stop providing aid for these monsters in need.
Since our founding by a group of five students, META has grown to influence thousands of monsters in need of aid.
